Raven Oilfield has designed and constructed the most innovative machine in the mat building industry. This machine operates using limited personnel to produce top quality mats in minutes. using a machine this advanced creates unparalleled consistency and quality.

There are various styles of wood access mats on the market today. The most popular variations are solid oak, fir, and oak/fir hybrid. Our inventory grows every day to supply our customers with the styles of mats that they need. We also invite potential and existing clients to provide feedback on how we can improve or create mats to fit their specific needs.

Manufacturing

Access Mat manufacturing is the newest addition to Raven Oilfield Rentals. Created in our 6000 square foot CWB certified welding shop, our fully automated mat building machine is capable of producing a fully trimmed and bolted 8' x 14' wood access mat in minutes. With this machine, large quantities of mats can be built in a small time frame. Wood access mats are available in fir, oak, and fir/oak combination.

Wood Mats

Large inventory of premium oak and fir access mats are available for rent or purchase. All wood access mats are three ply design with interlocking fingers to acommodate the weight of heavy equipment spread over a large area. Fully trained operators and supervisors are available 24 hours a day to provide installation, transportation and removal of mats even in the oilfield's toughest terrain.

Rig Mats

Rig mats are 8' wide and available in 20' and 40' lengths and are available in 3 - beam and 4 - beam. All rig mats are constructed in our welding shop with boxed rails for added support.

Styles of Wood Access Mats

Oak Mats

Oak mats have dominated the industry for a number of years due to their strength and durability. They are very popular because their life expectancy is the highest among the different styles of wood matting.

Oak mats stand up to any application, including access roads, pipeline right of ways and lease construction.

Our mats are manufactured using only premium grade oak and are available with a variety of client specific bolt patterns.

Fir Mats

Fir mats are quickly becoming more and more popular. They are light weight which reduces transportation costs while still providing excellent durability.

Access roads and lease construction are the ideal situations for fir mats because they are very resilient to all types of truck traffic.

Transportation savings as well as time reduction to complete projects make the fir mats an excellent option for any project.

Fir/Oak Hybrid Mats

Fir/oak hybrid mats combine the light weight of fir mats with the durability of oak mats. The hybrid mats are built mainly of fir with oak outer boards on the top and bottom layers.

The fir/oak hybrid mats stand the test of time. They are very durable and can be used for any application.

Reduced transport costs and ultimate durability makes the fir/oak hybrid mats an excellent option for any type of access solution.
